Winter Basketball

Season Starts Monday, January 5, 2026

7 week season

Possible game locations: East, LaFollette, Memorial and Madison West High Schools

There have been a few changes to the MSCR Basketball leagues in the past few years. We changed the number of teams in a league from 6 to 8. Teams are placed in leagues based on the following:

• Night of play
• Manager's preference (i.e. please put us in the worst league / top leagues, etc)
• Last year's league placement and record
• Number of returning players
• Grouping of teams of similar strength when moving nights / etc.

There are limited offerings for each night. Registration is first come, first served basis.

Registration Open: 11/3 - 11/30/25

Late registration: 12/1 - 12/7/25 (incurs a $10 additional fee for each late player registration)

NOTE: To be guaranteed to be included in the scheduling, rosters must be submitted by 12/7/25. 

All jersey orders must be completed by 12/7/25 to be guaranteed. There are no refunds for ordered jerseys.

2026 Fees -

• MMSD Resident player - $42 each
• Non-resident player - $52 each

There are no team fees.
Teams must register a minimum of 7 players. At least 50% of the roster must contain MMSD residents.
Teams will be placed in leagues according to team strength and request. 

Teams whose rosters have not been submitted / completed by Sunday, December 7, 2025 may not be included in the program. 

To forfeit a game prior to 4 pm, contact asld@madison.k12.wi.us or 608-204-3024. After 4 pm, contact mborkovec@madison.k12.wi.us.
